David found his way into directing via illustration and storyboarding. Realising that having ideas was more fun than drawing other peoples, he became a copywriter and creative for a TV company. Whilst there, he again decided that the only way to keep his ideas pure was to shoot them himself. Since then, he has written and directed several award winning branding spots for a diverse range of TV channels and charities. His experience as a creative means he's able to add imagination and flaire to every brief.
One of his skills is being able to work closely with actors and talent to deliver compelling emotive performances. He also has extensive technical, photosonics and compositing experience.
Aside from directing, he is an accomplished portrait photographer and has written and directed documentaries for BBC Radio and television.
